Mission Statement for E. Washington Elementary School

The mission of E. Washington Elementary School is to teach the foundational skills for life-long learning so that our students are successful and motivated to learn at higher levels.

ATTENTION PARENTS:

Students should not be dropped off at the Elementary before 7:30 A.M.

FROM THE NURSE

Just a reminder that all medication sent to school with a child must be kept in the clinic.  It is very important that your child's name be written on the medication.  All medication must include a note, signed and dated, identifying the medication, correct dosage, and time to be given.  Any medication not properly identified will not be dispensed.  Thank you for your cooperation.

SCHOOL BUS REMINDERS:

I would like to remind everyone about a policy that is found in our Handbook concerning transportation.  We need to have all transportation arrangements and phone calls finalized by 2:15 P.M. each day.  This is an established policy in our Handbook.  The end of the day becomes very busy and hectic and we must have all calls made prior to 2:15 P.M.  We do realize emergencies arise and some might have to call after this, but it is our goal to make sure every child is on the right bus and going to the right place.  We simply can't have changes being made after 2:15 P.M..  Many times students will tell the driver,  "I don't know if someone's home or I don't know what I'm supposed to do."  Please make sure your child knows his/her procedures each afternoon.  Last minute changes create a very stressful situation for the drivers.  Please help us keep everyone safe by helping us with this daily routine.

Thank You,

Greg Hopkins
