Board Meetings

The East Washington School Board Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:00 P.M. in the Administration Building, 1050 N. Eastern School Rd, Pekin. An executive meeting with the Superintendent is sometimes planned before or after the public meeting. When special meetings are called or when other times and places for regular meetings become necessary such changes are announced as soon as possible.

Parents and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend the Board Meetings. The School Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues and the importance of allowing members of the public to express themselves on Corporation matters. To permit fair and orderly public expression, comments must pertain to items on the agenda. Any other concerns should be directed to the President of the School Board or the Superintendent.

We are excited to announce that East Washington has adopted Diligent Community as our new board management software. This platform is designed to help keep our community more connected, informed, and engaged by offering improved access to important information and streamlined processes.

With Diligent Community, our community may receive automatic updates about meetings and important announcements, ensuring you stay informed about key decisions and events. The platform allows you to explore meeting agendas, minutes, policies, and other documents through a new, easy-to-use public site linked here.

You can also watch livestreamed and recorded meetings at your convenience, giving you greater flexibility to stay involved. By adopting Diligent Community, we aim to create a more efficient system that supports well-informed decision-making for the benefit of our community.
